What is ABS plastics?

ABS machinable plastic is a tough, rigid thermoplastic material with high impact strength. It is easily machined and ideal for turning, drilling, milling, sawing, die-cutting and shearing.

ABS plastics provide a balanced combination of mechanical toughness, wide temperature range, good dimensional stability, chemical resistance, electrical insulating properties, and ease of fabrication.

ABS is heat resistant and impact resistant even at low temperatures and has high chemical and abrasion-resistance as well as a good dimensional stability.

ABS plastics are easily machined and die cut in thinner gauges. ABS can be cut with standard hand held power tools and line bent with our standard heat strips. ABS can be adhered to itself and other like plastics using weld-on adhesives.
